Research and Information CommitteeSEAHO Research Grant The Research and Information (R & I) Committee would like to invite you to apply for a grant from SEAHO. The deadline to submit proposals is January 30, 2004 . Grants are currently available for self-studies, activities, services, or research. General guidelines are included on this website. The R & I Committee is looking forward to reviewing a number of excellent requests and selecting the most deserving from that group. Awards will be announced at the annual SEAHO conference. The R & I Committee would like to challenge you to take this opportunity to achieve excellence. General Guidelines and Selection Criteria Purpose: Matching funds will be made available from the SEAHO Reserve Fund to sponsor activities, services, research, or a self-study of a housing organization using ACUHO-I standards. Projects will be designed to provide a means of exchanging and distributing professional information and ideas relating to the various aspects of student residence halls and apartments, developmental programming, administration, and related operations. Jones, Ph.D. SEAHO Grant Request GuidelinesPlease follow the Grant request submission guidelines listed below. Proposals will be read by the reviewers and their comments will be shared with you. Decisions regarding grant requests will be made before the annual SEAHO conference. The formal announcement of grant winners will be made at the conference. TIMETABLE The deadline for grant proposal submission is January 30, 2004. After review by members of the SEAHO Research and Information Committee, applicants will by notified by the annual conference of the status of their submission. Each Grant Proposal should include this information in the body of the proposal: Information that identifies the researcher and/or institution should not be included in the text of the grant proposal. Proposals that do not adhere to these guidelines will not be considered. 1. Identify the short title (please do not exceed 60 characters, including spaces and punctuation): 2. Attach description of project, written in APA style , clearly indicating the following subsections: a. Statement of issue/problem to be researched b. Significance of issue/problem to be researched c. Review of applicable literature (research projects only) d. Methodology e. Proposed budget f. References 3. Proposals exceeding five (5) pages or incomplete at time of submission will be returned and must be re-submitted by the January 30, 2004 deadline to be included in the review process.Submit your proposal electronically to: David P.
